Our [DPS'] Carbon Pagoda Tour CFL skis are synonymous with performance backcountry skiing, and now reach new heights with fresh construction updates and the introduction of the 105 shape into our Touring category. We’ve tested these skis in mid-winter, record breaking Wasatch powder, mid-summer ice at the summit of Mt. Hood, and navigating and performing through New Zealand’s notoriously variable skiing conditions.
When we started R&D on these skis, we focused on our non-compromising mandates – Durability, Performance, and Sustainability. To achieve the highest marks of these goals, we developed a unique new carbon flax laminate (CFL), which reduces torsional chatter while retaining our renowned carbon energy and long-term durability. It’s a unique, woven fiber, high performance laminate which showcases the potential of imbedding flax plant fibers within our pure carbon construction. We have also shifted to Entropy bio-based (25 %) epoxy resin and integrated Checkerspot Algal sidewall technology (~ 60 % bio based). Through these changes, we’ve lowered our carbon footprint and have accelerated our journey towards more sustainable skis.
The Carbon Pagoda Tour CFL 112 is the strongest descending touring model we’ve ever developed– an option that can be your go-to powder ski with high vertical
goals. Fast and light on the skintrack with our lighter layup, the shaping provides an approachable, surf-inspired turning radius of 15m, and a tapered tip that ensures you always stay on top of the snow. Our Carbon Flax Laminate provides torsional stability and suspension reminiscent of an alpine ski, with a high enjoyment-to-effort ratio on the way up and a floaty and nimble ride on the way down.
